How to install DroneSense Mobile:

Please install again if your version is older than “2023.3.13”. (Find your version in the top right settings > “General Settings” > Versioning.)

How to install the app:

To Install on your Android tablet or phone:

  1. Visit the Google Play Store on your device.
  2. Search for DroneSense
  3. Install the “DroneSense” app

Note: There’s no need to uninstall the app when switching to the Play Store install; it will replace any previous installs on your phone or tablet while keeping your data.

To Install to your CrystalSky or Smart Controller over WiFi:

Click here if you are installing to a M30, M30T, M3E, or M3T

  1. Open Google Chrome (or other available browser application) on the device.
  2. Navigate to the following page to download the file: https://ds-public-www.s3.amazonaws.com/Dronesense-Android.apk
  3. Tap Download.
    NOTE: You may receive a warning about being unable to scan for viruses. Tap Accept this for this release.
    ALSO NOTE: The file download might not be apparent on the CrystalSky, so check your Downloads folder to see that it completed. On the Smart Controller, the “download icon” in the top corner will stop pulsing when the download is complete.
  4. Open the Download folder on device (Explorer > Internal Memory > Download).
  5. Tap the DroneSense-Android.apk file and then tap Install. After completion the DroneSense Mobile app should now display under Applications and is ready to fly!

To Install to your M30, M30T, M3E, or M3T Controller over WiFi:

Note this install will only work on the Matrice 30, Matrice 30T, Mavic 3 Enterprise, or Mavic 3 Thermal, for other devices please use one of the other methods on this page.

  3. Insert the SD card into the CrystalSky or Smart Controller
  4. Open the Device Explorer, tap the SD card to open files
  5. Tap the DroneSense-Android.apk file and then tap Install. After completion the DroneSense Mobile app should now display under Applications and is ready to fly!

To Install to your iPad:

  1. Please visit the Apple “App Store” on your iPad.
  2. Search for DroneSense.
  3. Install the “DroneSense” app to your iPad.
  4. NOTE: The latest DroneSense platform requires the “DroneSense” app, not the “DroneSense Pilot” app.

Known limitations:

GL 60 Plus:

  • The GL60 Plus comes with a cable that connects to the OSDK port on top of the aircraft to provide even more power (brighter light). This confuses the DJI SDK and will prevent takeoff.
  • The brightness level will reset to 10% every time you turn it off and back on, same behavior in DJI Pilot 2

Parrot:

  • ANAFI USA – Unable to execute surveys in MIX/IR mode.
